Design perron has 3 places to visit. Let’s start from the lamp kingdom.

JSPR – Each lamp is a piece of art.

(2) Pirouettes – For the Pirouette collection JSPR teamed up with a talented illustrator to create a series of light fixtures inspired by graphic design principles. The outcome is a light series of mesmerizing optical illusions capturing a never-ending pirouette in midair. Powerful yet elegant, these pendants seem to be dancing in the air.

(1) Empire – A design by Jasper van Grootel. Inspired from one of the best known art deco examples – the Empire state building.

(3) Dahlia – Inspired by the geometry of the Dahlia flower.

JSPR is specialized in designing distinctive and extraordinary lighting and furniture collections.

(1) Lunar – A design by Jasper van Grootel – this is my favourite one – an ode to the retro fairground bulbs that have become a signature feature for JSPR’s style.

(2) Diamonds XXL – A design by Jasper van Grootel and Sylvie Meuffels – a sequel collection to one of JSPR’s signature collections: the Diamonds original. This time bigger, brighter and more impressive!

(2) Plastic Fantastic – The colourful collection is one of JSPR’s best-known collections. Each piece is originally handmade out of mahogany wood and was then coated with a very special UV- and water-resistant, PU rubber coating. This not only gives them a very unique look, it also makes them suitable for outdoor use. The rubber is soft enough to touch and flexible enough to preserve the comfort and qualities of upholstered furniture.

(1) Crown – A design by Grietje Schepers. She designed the embodiment of classical beauty, the chandelier, in a brilliant cutting pattern and an innovative material (light and soft).

(2) Caged Beauty – is a series of elegant and finely detailed birdcages, which can be used as lighting objects or as actual birdcages. The cages are made from laser-cut sheet metal, finished with a powder coating in a range of bright colors. The cages are fitted with a door that can be locked.

The Cityscapes collection by JSPR is a sophisticated lighting series inspired by the city’s skylines.

Dutch Invertuals is a design company of radical minds in design. Established in 2009 by Wendy Plomp.

(1-3) The Circle – to explore one of the most iconic shapes in the universe. The ultimate symbol of unity, perfection and infinity. By envisaging and challenging its shape, the Invertuals offer personal take on something that is already perfect. (3) Willem van Hooff.

(4) Carol Nobbe – You get VR glasses. Through the glasses you will see spiral stairs, it is in a different shape than what you feel while you are walking on the analog stairs. Every step you make is a small part of the information you give on the internet. This is a reflection of how internet companies are profiling and can control you. Do you also feel powerless?

(1) Kaylee Leemhuis – Flock – creating interaction between people and vulnerable material. Made from ceramics and you can bump them to each other.

(3-4) Jasmin Djerzic is a Dutch design brand for home accessories.

(1-3) Alissa+Nienke – Fringes & Floats is a collection of innovative, woven textiles for (large scale) interior applications, like wall coverings, room dividers and acoustic wall hangings. A research project into the possibilities of 3D weaving technology.
