TAC (Temporary art center). Opening Hours: 11:00 – 19:00. So good to visit when everything is closed. Again this year we can enjoy Ukrainian designers.

You enter in lab kind of place of Affair with Earth. There are 5 tables:

  1. Re-Leaf Paper by Valentyn Frechka – Making paper from leaves and save trees?

  2. Growing Fur – by Dasha Tsapenko – live fur from chia seeds. The best for vegan people

  3. Terra surface – by Ryntovt design – chernozem soil facades for furniture collection.

  4. Chernobyl vodka – Would u dare to drink?

  5. Hemp fur – by Devohome – a very dutch approach)) Do you wear it and start laughing? Maybe, but mostly its a very sustainable product, soft and warm, also vegan people would like it.

Paper city – let’s think about the current role of paper within design and technology, recycling, sustainability, and the environment.

2 themes of the Paper city expo:

  1. The role of paper in creativity is becoming insignificant as the computer becomes the exclusive tool of designers in the process of the ideation – the sketch. The blank page becomes an anachronism. Tabula Rasa expo was inspired by artists who used the blank page as the basis of their work. Paper as a carrier for our ideas.

  2. The Temporary City – Technology makes the world a place continuously transforming and in motion. Our surroundings are now identified through spaces of transience rather than permanence.

Katla KarlsdottirThese jewellery are made from broken screens of smartphones. Apparently, inside of our phones, there are silver, copper and gold. Ah, that’s why they are soooo expansive! The designer from Eindhoven Rolisa Sweegers described me very good how her colleague is making these “asking for a fashion photo session pieces”. Ask me if you are interested in the process of creation. Rolisa also doing jewellery, more wearable daily one but also very beautiful. Check her DO Collection.

Paohui Kao, Sooji Lee – Open Craft – showing the value of handmade craft in a world where everything can be done with a push of a button.

(1,2) Second verse – Jonne Stout – Kinetic sound installation (poetry, craft and technology is important in this work) for people to see, be in the moment, and experience.
